Join the Calgary Plant Study Group on March 7th for A WILDFLOWER IDENTIFICATION WORKSHOP! Brush-up on your identification skills with a walk through our meadow of pressed specimens. We will simulate a May Plant Species Count right here in the Lab. Suitable for novice to advanced participants.
Participants will have hands-on time to examine herbarium specimens and record their identifications, or join others in learning diagnostic characteristics to contribute to the list. Please bring your favourite plant identification guide (if you have one), a notebook, and a pencil. The group meets from 1–3 pm in the
Herbarium at the University of Calgary (Room 13 Biological Sciences Building).
