The Calgary Plant Study Group is back! Flood damage to the Isaac Rotstein Memorial Herbarium at the University of Calgary has been repaired.
Our next meeting will be on February 1st and will highlight specimens from the recently donated collection of Isaac Rotstein. Isaac collected the world over and prepared his pressed plants with detailed descriptions, maps and photographs. This unique work is as visually interesting as it is scientifically significant. Integration into the existing collection will require some standards modifications however, with the help of volunteers under the direction of Bonnie Smith, retired herbarium technician, who has been preparing labels for months. Everyone is invited to join the hands-on session after the break.
