Join us for this year’s Botany Alberta event in the Beaver Hills Biosphere, east of Edmonton. We will be hosting this year’s event out of the Strathcona Wilderness Centre, from Friday, June 13th to Sunday June 15th. It will be a weekend of guided field trips, plant exploration, and connection with fellow nature enthusiasts!
Alternatively, you can mail in your registration form: 2025 Botany AB Registration Form
*Note this event is free to attend for ANPC members and non-members.
Event Highlights:
- Weekend Hikes: On Friday afternoon, Saturday day, and Sunday morning, there will be guided field trips to explore protected areas in the Beaver Hills/Cooking Lake Moraine region (details to be announced). - Saturday Evening Presentation and Dinner: Join us at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre Lodge for a catered dinner, followed by an engaging evening presentation by local ecologist Dr. Kevin Timoney. Dinner is optional and for a fee.
- Contribute to Native Plant Knowledge Bases: Participate in documenting and updating plant species lists for the Beaver Hills Biosphere, supporting conservation and research efforts.
