From rare wildflowers to hardy grassland specialists, there\u2019s always something in bloom and buzzing with life. Join us as we journey through sprawling grasslands, rolling sage flats, culturally significant sandstone cliffs and hoodoo formations, and the riparian cottonwood stands bordering the Milk River.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Saturday Evening Presentation: <\/strong>Join us at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.albertaparks.ca\/parks\/south\/writing-on-stone-pp\/information-facilities\/park-contacts\/writing-on-stone-visitor-centre\/\">Writing-on-Stone Visitor Center<\/a> for an engaging evening presentation on biocrusts by a<strong> lichenologist <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/anpc.ab.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/ANPC_Workshop_Presenters.pdf\"><strong>Diane Haughland<\/strong><\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Saturday Campfire Dinner: <\/strong>Come by for a casual dinner and snacks around the fire.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Contribute to Native Plant Knowledge Bases:<\/strong> Support conservation and research efforts by documenting plant species, including lichens and mosses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Getting Here: <\/strong>Writing-on-Stone is located approximately 650 km from Edmonton, 350 km from Calgary, 130 km from Lethbridge, and 40 km from the town of Milk River.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accommodations: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.albertaparks.ca\/parks\/south\/writing-on-stone-pp\/information-facilities\/group-use\/area-b\/\">Group camping<\/a> is available for up to 8 sites under the shade of the cottonwood trees.
