We will explore key morphological features used to classify plants into families. For each plant family, we\u2019ll \u201cmeet the relatives\u201d by providing examples of common genera.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Participants will have hands-on time to examine herbarium specimens, identify their diagnostic characteristics, and practice sorting the plants into families. Please bring your favourite plant identification guide, a notebook, and a pencil. A magnifying glass or jeweller\u2019s loupe is optional.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group will meet in the Herbarium at the University of Calgary from&nbsp;<strong>1\u20133 pm<\/strong>.
