2018 Workshop

Come help us celebrate our 30th Anniversary Year! We will also be voting on the final draft of the new ANPC By-Laws during this year’s AGM. This year’s workshop is titled:
“Submerged: A look into Alberta’s semi-aquatic and riparian zones”

Date: Saturday, March 17th, 2018
Location: Devon Golf and Conference Centre, 1130 River Valley,  in Devon Alberta.

Here is the program for the 2018 ANPC Workshop and AGM:

Share your memories! In honour of the 30th anniversary of the ANPC, we are collecting photographs from the past 30 years of ANPC activities and events to celebrate our history in the form of a slide show. If you have anything you would like to share,
please send them to us!  (SUBJECT: ANPC 30th Anniversary Memories)

We will have a “Seed Share” table of native Alberta plant seeds. Bring native seeds to share with other attendees or find interesting native seeds to take home. If bringing seeds to share, please ensure they are from native plants and package them in labelled small envelopes with the scientific and common name as well as the harvest location.

PlantWatch Book Exchange: PlantWatch is hosting a botany book sale again this year at ANPC’s workshop. If you have botany books (plant identification books, field guides, wildflower gardening books, medicinal and edible uses of plants (ethnobotany), botany text books), that you’d like to recycle (i.e., trade or donate to Plantwatch to sell) just bring them in when you get to the workshop. Contact Elisabeth at e.beaubien@ualberta.ca if you have any questions. The funds will be used to support Alberta PlantWatch (see their website).
